Orpheus Dive Rental equipment
are service monthly. Our high price rental
is justified by our assurance to quality rental
gear and the latest technology in diving.
Unlike most non PADI
dive centres, Orpheus Dive owns, maintained
and service their own range of diving equipment. 
Most
DC are still using the jacket based BCD, and
many have been using them since the 80s and
have never replaced them because of the high
cost incurred.
BCDs that are not maintain on a regular
basis by the dive centre, will have the following
problem
- Leakage from the power inflator
- Failure or malfunction of the power inflator
- Wear and tear that can cause leaks from
the bladder
Regulators are the most important piece
of rental equipment amongst all.
Reason being that the regulator is our primary
source of air underwater.
Most Dive Centre prefers renting unbalance
regulator because of the ease of maintenance.
However, test the regulator before renting
it.
A typical set up of a regulator should
consist of First Stage, Regulator, a
marked octopus, a Depth/Pressure gague
and a LPI.
Most dive centre are still using the
big block SPG. A badly maintained regulator
set will upset your entire trip and might
even endanger your life. |
