PADI Rescue Diver consist of knowledge development, confined water training and open water evaluation.
Candidates are evaluated based on realistic situations in the open water training to ensure what they are able to apply their knowledge from theory and practical sessions.
The PADI Rescue Diver course is NOT ONLY ABOUT learning how to rescue another diver. It is also about self rescue to avoid accidents. |

- PADI Advanced Open Water Diver or PADI Junior Advanced Open Water Diver certification (or qualifying certification from another organization).
- Minimum age: 15 years old (12 for PADI Junior Rescue Diver)
- Successful completion of a sanctioned CPR program or Emergency First Response program within the past 24 months
