REDUCTION OF SPACES ONBOARD OF DOLPHIN EXPLORER
SINGAPORE SCUBA DIVING INDUSTRY : On 14th May 2021, Singapore announced that they will be tightening Covid-19 measures. The new measures – which stop short of a second circuit breaker – will apply for the period of May 16 to June 13.
The Multi-Ministry Task Force (MTF) heightens the restriction and measurements in the Fight Against COVID-19. The diving industry is not spared as well. The Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) has launched revisions to the number of people permitted on both dive boats and private yachts used for diving.
Effectively, Dolphin Explorer 1 capacity is reduced to 6 pax, while Dolphin Explorer 22 capacity is being reduced to 4 pax with immediate effect. With a major reduction of spaces onboard Dolphin Explorer, there will be fewer allowed divers each weekend.
In order to ensure more scuba divers and the sustainability of Dolphin Explorer, she will be running three trips a day, instead of the regular 2 trips. The new timing would be Trip 1, from 0730hrs to 1130hrs, Trip 2 running from 11.30hrs to 1530hrs, and trip 3 will be running from 1530hrs to 1730hrs.
All guests, please report 15 minutes prior to departure.
