Scuba Diving Equipment is expensive to replace if lost, stolen or damaged. It’s important that your travel insurance has an appropriate level of cover to meet your specific needs. Pricey and specialist equipment can also be covered by your home insurance on a worldwide basis, in order to provide the full replacement cost of your gear.Travel Insurance Policies are available on a Single-Trip or Annual basis. This means that your travel coverage is tailored to you and your needs. The travel insurance policy Expat Insurance offers has no exclusions for diving at depths. You are covered for diving to depths for which you are certified to dive by PADI or equivalent qualifications.

If you, or your family, are avid scuba divers and take more than one holiday a year, you should consider an annual plan which will cover you for all of your trips abroad.

Personally, our dive team often have two insurance. We find that having DAN (Divers Alert Network) is often better for diving emergencies. From our past experience, talking to someone from DAN often gave us the answers we need but other insurance companies, they will have to keep routing the calls till they find someone who can address our concerns.

But for other travel related claims, travel insurance are better.
